River is an electric vehicle startup building multi-utility scooters. The company builds products ground up with a strong focus on design and engineering. Currently, the company is in the expansion stage as we have commenced our vehicle deliveries in Bangalore with over 200+ vehicles on road.
River is backed by marquee international investors - Yamaha Motor Co Ltd, Dubai based Al-Futtaim Group, Lowcarbon Capital, Toyota Ventures, Israel based Maniv mobility and US based Trucks VC. These are mobility focused funds backed by some of the big names in the automotive industry. River is founded by experienced automotive professionals and is a fast growing company with a team of 400+ people.

Responsibilities :
1. Define test cases and test scenarios to ensure proper execution of firmware functionality as per Software Requirements documents.
2. Plan and execute functional test cycles and report on the status of test plan execution.
3. Document test plans, execution methodology, test sequences for existing and new features.
4. Create detailed reports of issues and defects in firmware, perform Root Cause Analysis of reported bugs
and track issues till software/design fixes are implemented in the next update.
5. Collaborate with Software Development teams to perform design reviews of features, identify potential risks in software design and assign severity levels.
6. Develop scripts for automation of test case execution and report generation.
7. Define efficiency measures to streamline test cycles and develop quality toolchains for simultaneous test execution of firmware updates.
8. Develop and maintain automated hardware test benches to perform periodic tests for fortnightly builds.
Qualifications :
1. 3+ years experience in QA in embedded systems, preferably experience in Embedded Software Development for automotive applications.
2. Excellent knowledge in C, C++, RTOS, task schedulers, firmware architecture
3. Excellent knowledge in communication protocols like CAN, SPI and I2C
4. Experience in defining and executing Quality Management Methods
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams and resolve issues in a timely manner.
6. Knowledge in automation tools like LabVIEW, Python or Canoe
