We are seeking a skilled and proactive Microsoft Administrator to join our IT team. The primary focus of this role is the administration and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server cluster databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will also possess deep expertise in PowerShell scripting, Active Directory management, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server clusters environments, including high availability and disaster recovery configurations (e.g., Always On, Failover Clustering, Replication).
  • Monitor and optimize SQL performance, implement backup/recovery strategies, and ensure database security.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, and system management.
  • Manage Windows Server environments, including patching, updates, and backup strategies
  • Administer Active Directory, including Group Policy, user and computer account management, and domain services.
  • Implement and manage PKI infrastructure, including certificate lifecycle management and secure authentication.
  • Support SharePoint (both on-premise and in Microsoft 365 cloud).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and cloud integrations (e.g., Azure SQL).
  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory standards.
  • Provide documentation, training, and support for internal stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in SQL Server cluster administration in enterprise environments.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell for automation and system tasks.
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory architecture and management.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft PKI and certificate services.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server environments and related services (e.g., WSUS, RDS).
  • Strong knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German language skills are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Language


Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • German language skills are advantageous.
  • Preferred Certifications: ITIL Foundation Certification
