Summary:

20-25 Years’ experience in Electrical & mechanical critical equipment’s operation and maintenance in large scale data center or any other big Facilities. An excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units.


Qualification:

BE/B. Tech in Electrical/Mechanical with 20 Years’ experience

Diploma in Electrical with more than 25 Years’ experience


Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience in managing Power, Electrical & Mechanical Operations for Data Centres. proven experience in managing Instrumentation & automation Operations for Data Centres
  • Responsible for the Utility management of mission-critical Data Centre Facility.
  • Provide consistent leadership and support through planning, communicating, and managing a team of managers and professionals responsible to deliver data centre facility services.
  • Work with management to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize safety, performance, reliability and efficiency.
  • Continual improvement in PUE and reliability parameters
  • Expertise in the field of Design/Engineering of electrical systems, Testing Commissioning of UPS, Drives and other Power Electronics.
  • Highly Resourceful for maintaining and preparation of Facility Site Standard Procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Project Team, Construction & Engineering Team.
  • Able to handle all audits in co-ordination with NHQ team.
  • Manage all stakeholder as per agreed OLA’s.


Technical Experience:

Organizational Leadership:

  • Technical Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, management & Operations of Electrical systems, Emergency Diesel Generator sets, Dynamic rotary UPS system (DRUPS) & Static UPS, Battery Banks, Battery Chargers, Various control system on DG and DRUPS sets, HT & LT Panels, PCC Panels, MCC Panels, Power Distribution panels, control system of power panels, Power & Lighting distribution Boards, Protective relays and protection Systems, Transformers, HT / LT switch gears, BMS System, HVAC System - PACs, Water cooled Centrifugal / Screw Chiller, etc.

Risk Management

  • Serve as primary contact person to addressing Statutory, Regulatory & Technical issues related to Mechanical systems and documents.

Availability Management

  • Managing uptime of 24x7x365 for Data centers Facility Infrastructure. Maintained redundancy of system healthy.

Contracts Management

  • Manage Vendor relations.
  • Development, selection & evaluation of vendors / sub-vendors
  • Review AMC & SLA of Mechanical equipment’s

General

  • Maintenance budget & cost control (CAPEX & OPEX)
  • Maintain and renew the certifications without any non-compliances.
  • Communicate the status of the operation process with Top management.
  • Lead the team from front with company policies and guidelines.
  • Statutory compliances for electrical/water/MPCB.
