Location: K. R. Mangalam University, Gurugram

Position: Full-Time

Position Overview


The Photographer & Videographer will be responsible for creating high-quality visual content that represents the brand identity of K. R. Mangalam University. The role includes covering university events, student activities, academic programs, campus life, and promotional campaigns. The candidate must be creative, detail-oriented, punctual, and comfortable managing end-to-end production tasks.

Key Responsibilities


Photography

  • Capture high-quality photographs of events, seminars, convocations, conferences, faculty interactions, and campus activities.
  • Shoot campus lifestyle images for university promotions, website, brochures, and social media.
  • Conduct photoshoots for faculty, students, achievers, and guest speakers.
  • Ensure proper lighting, composition, and framing in all shoots.

Videography

  • Shoot professional videos for events, campus highlights, student stories, promotional videos, and social media reels.
  • Create engaging short-form vertical content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok-style formats where applicable).
  • Capture interviews, testimonials, and scripted promotional films.
  • Operate drones (preferred) for aerial videography.

Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit photos with consistent style aligned with university branding.
  • Edit videos with transitions, effects, background music, subtitles, and branding elements.
  • Maintain quality control and ensure timely delivery of final content.
  • Manage and organize media files, raw footage, and backups.

Coordination & Management

  • Coordinate with the marketing team, departments, and event coordinators for shoot planning.
  • Prepare shot lists, storyboards, and schedule coverage.
  • Keep equipment in good working condition (camera, lights, gimbal, drones, batteries, etc.).
  • Provide creative input for campaigns, storytelling ideas, and content strategy.

Skills & Requirements


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in DSLR/Mirrorless cameras (Canon/Sony/Nikon).
  • Knowledge of studio lighting, softboxes, LED panels, and audio equipment.
  • Strong command over Adobe software:
  • Lightroom
  • Photoshop
  • Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • Ability to shoot and edit high-resolution photos and 4K video.


Creative Skills

  • Strong understanding of framing, color grading, storytelling, and visual aesthetics.
  • Ability to create cinematic shots and social-media-friendly content.
  • Understanding of branding and audience engagement trends.


Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Media Studies, Fine Arts, Mass Communication, or related field (preferred).
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in photography/videography, preferably in an educational institution or agency.

Personal Attributes

  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, especially during major university events.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of tasks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (events, weekends, special shoots).

Additional Preference

  • Candidates with their own professional equipment (camera bodies, lenses, gimbal, lighting setup, drone, etc.) will be strongly preferred.
