Systems Analysis Lead Analyst

Position Overview:

The systems analysis Lead Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating business requirements, consulting with personnel from various departments and identifying areas for technical solutions development and business process improvements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Independently performs data analysis, data discovery and data profiling using industry standard querying tools to support business requirements development, that are complete, clear, unambiguous, well written and appropriate to audience.
  • Understands the project scope and helps resolve scope questions.
  • Performs requirements planning, monitoring and requirements management.
  • Performs data analysis and documentation of system processes, and data flows for existing and new functions.
  • Maintains data mapping documents, data design artifacts that define business data requirements and transformation rules.
  • Translates business requirements and objectives into system level requirements for use by development and testing teams.
  • Acts as liaison and advisor/consultant between the business and IT stakeholders.
  • Acts as a resource for completing system configurations such as permissions, security and rules.
  • Performs and aids in functional testing.
  • Structure and drive working and informational sessions that promote collaboration, synergy, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Handles moderate level root cause analysis of production issues infrastructure configurations and user related defects, that arise on a day-to-day basis to support the business.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Strong facilitation, requirements elicitation and data analysis skills.
  • Established proficiency in MS excel and MS Power point.
  • Understanding of current and emerging IT products, services, processes and methodologies
  • Strong Communication skills (both verbal and non-verbal).
  • Effectively manages key stakeholders in a matrix environment
  • Proven ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a timeline driven environment.

Required Experience & Education:

  • 5 to 8 years of IT experience in systems and data analysis in the healthcare industry (any claim insurance).
  • At least 5 years of experience with database concepts and PLSQL skills on databases like Oracle (Must), Dynamo DB and Postgres.
  • Significant experience in business requirements and/or data analysis supporting the Health Insurance industry.
  • Experienced in working with ETL process (basic understanding) and familiarity with data integration tools and techniques.
  • Over 3 years of experience working on Agile projects.
