Job Description :


As a Database Optimization Consultant, you will be responsible for auditing, optimizing, and maintaining our cloud-based database systems.


You will leverage your expertise in AWS RDS, OpenSearch, MySQL, and other related technologies to ensure our data infrastructure is efficient, cost-effective, and scalable.

Your role will involve performance tuning, cost reduction strategies, and providing recommendations for improvements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Database Auditing: Conduct comprehensive audits of AWS RDS, OpenSearch, and MySQL databases to assess performance, security, and compliance.

- Optimization: Implement performance tuning techniques to optimize query performance, indexing, and overall database efficiency.

- Cost Reduction: Analyze cloud data infrastructure to identify opportunities for cost reduction.

- Implement strategies to minimize cloud spending without compromising performance.

- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and management of AWS RDS, OpenSearch, and MySQL databases, ensuring high availability and reliability.

- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all database systems adhere to security standards and compliance requirements. Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

- Monitoring and Reporting: Set up and maintain monitoring tools to track database performance and health. Generate reports and provide insights to stakeholders.

- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, optimization strategies, and best practices.

- Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of database systems.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in database optimization and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience : 4 to 6 years of experience in database management and optimization, with a focus on AWS RDS, OpenSearch, and MySQL.

Primary Skills :

- Proficiency in AWS RDS and managing cloud-based databases.

- Strong knowledge of OpenSearch and MySQL.

- Experience in auditing AWS cloud data infrastructure.

- Proven track record in cloud cost reduction strategies.

Secondary Skills :

- Experience with ElasticSearch and Postgres.

- AWS Certified Data Engineer or similar certification is highly desirable.

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of database design principles, indexing, and query optimization.

- Knowledge of AWS services and tools for monitoring and managing cloud infrastructure.

- Familiarity with data security best practices and compliance requirements.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (e. g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
