If this appeals to you, please read onJob Title: Field Support / Insatallation EngineerLocation: Coimbatore We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a Technical Support engineer, you will be responsible for attending the field issues and provide solutions for semiconductor capital equipment, working closely with customer and cross functional teams in a fast phased environment Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Technical response and field problems resolution.Log all jobs and associated details, including problem resolution with Field aware.serving as a front end / Tier 3 support.Engage key stakeholders effectively and manage customer requests.Familiarity with complex electro-mechanical technical functions and activities such as test, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools, and test fixtures.Drive reliability data analysis from the field to Engineering through field FMEA analysis.Exercises judgment, based on previous experiences, to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent. Exchanges ideas and information effectively; uses tact and diplomacy when interacting with stakeholders, customers, and employees. Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment and proliferates the knowledge to all Field Service engineers. Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly.Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries.Travel might be required (>50%) from the base location Desired Characteristics:Able to perform duties with minimal supervision.Self-starter, highly motivated, resourceful, creative, results-oriented, and decisive Customer centric and problem-solving skills. Comfortable with significant autonomy Flexible and resourceful Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Requirements:Four-year degree and two to five years prior work as Technical Support Engineer in a capital equipment / precision machine tool manufacturing setup . Semiconductor experience is nice to have. Strong technical in troubleshooting for the whole system. ability to understand drawings, BOM and effectively communicate technical problems in the field to the internal stakeholders and customers.Experience in field service and technical support for precision machine tools with mechanical, electrical & electronic systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Proficient in Augmented reality solutions to provide solutions remotely.Problem solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality to customer and time conscious.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for technology and a proven track record in providing field service and technical support to semiconductor / precision tool customers, we would love to hear from you.
