Lead Full Stack Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:Develop and maintain software applications using the latest React, Java and Spring Boot technologies in cloud (Azure/OCI)Lead and mentor a team of software developers, providing guidance and support throughout the development lifecycleCreate optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systemsPerform analysis on failures, propose design changes, and encourage operational improvementsPropose sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefrontContribute to code reviews and automated testing to maintain code quality and improve efficiencyProvide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development proceduresOwn all aspects of product development by following compliance and security best practicesReview tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before they require escalationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop innovative solutions, and ensure code qualityAssist in documenting production support processes in the cloud environment and ensure knowledge transfer within the teamIdentify and implement process improvements to optimize team performance and delivery in cloud (Azure/OCI)Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and product managers to ensure alignment and transparencyParticipate in Agile development methodologies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectivesContribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvementStay updated with the latest technologies and industry best practicesComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do soQualifications - Required Qualifications:8+ years of experienceKnowledge of Security Best Practices: Understanding of security principles and best practices in web application development. Familiarity with concepts such as authentication, authorization, data encryption, secure coding practices, and protection against common web vulnerabilities like cross-site scripting (XSS), cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and SQL injectionDatabase Knowledge: Basic understanding of relational databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL, including knowledge of SQL queries, database design principles, and the ability to interact with databases from Java applicationsTesting and quality assurance: Knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit, or Selenium for writing and executing tests, as well as understanding the importance of code quality and test coverageFamiliarity with Springboot Microservices Architecture: Understanding of the principles and concepts of microservices architecture. Knowledge of designing, developing, and deploying scalable and loosely coupled microservices. This includes familiarity with API gateways, service discovery, load balancing, fault tolerance, and communication patterns such as REST and message queuesFamiliarity with Agile methodologies: Understanding of Agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, including concepts like sprints, user stories, and backlog managementUnderstanding of Software Development Principles: Solid understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, algorithms, and design patternsProficiency in Version Control Systems: Experience with version control systems like Git, including knowledge of branching, merging, resolving conflicts, and utilizing Git workflows effectivelyProven ability to apply these principles to build scalable and maintainable Java applicationsProven debugging and problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and debug code, identify and fix issues, and find solutions to problemsProven collaboration and communication: Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholdersProven continuous learning mindset: Eagerness to learn new technologies, frameworks, and best practices, as well as staying updated with the latest trends in software developmentProven solid development background on full stack end-to-end technologies - both front end and back end.
