The Opportunity"FICO is seeking a senior AWS Cloud Engineer who thrives working in a fast paced state of the art Cloud environment. This position will be heavily involved with the migration of our existing products, as well as the development of new products within our cloud platform” – Director, Cloud EngineeringWhat You’ll ContributeAct as the EKS subject-matter expert, providing best-practice guidance on cluster design, workload isolation, networking and access controls.Collaborate with security stakeholders to validate that all EKS and AWS solutions align with FICO’s security and governance frameworks.Support the Infrastructure Engineering team in building and maintaining a robust, secure shared AWS and EKS platform.Promote cross-platform compatibility and scalability, ensuring solutions are secure, efficient and compliant with enterprise standards.Continuously evaluate and improve EKS operational practices, driving automation, observability and resilience across environments.What We’re SeekingKnowledge on infrastructure as code & kubernetes management concepts such as Crossplane, Helm, yaml, ArgoCD, GIT HUBStrong with AWS services such as EKS, Bottlerocket, Service Mesh, RDS, S3, VPCDesign, implement, and manage EKS clusters to support microservices and container-based applicationsCollaborate with application and platform teams to define best practices around Kubernetes resource usage, security, and performanceImplement and manage cluster networking, ingress, and observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)Define and enforce RBAC policies, network policies, and compliance standards for secure Kubernetes operationsTroubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues in EKS environmentsFamiliarity with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio) and Kubernetes operatorsCertified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
