Associate Director

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Knowledge Services team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Associate Director - Digital Media & Graphic Design(UI/ UX Design)

The Knowledge Services team at the Marsh Global Capability Centre combines the design, analytics, and research centers of excellence in India and has been established to partner with key businesses within Marsh McLennan.

The Creative Services CoE is an internal design services team supporting Marsh businesses globally. The Marsh Captive Solutions business is seeking a candidate for the following position based in the Mumbai office. The incumbent will be supporting digital requirements as a UI/UX design expert

The incumbent will support colleagues within Marsh Captive Solutions across global locations, but the primary working with key stakeholders in the US. As the world’s largest captive manager, Marsh Captive Solutions offers a comprehensive approach to innovative captive solutions, helping organizations of all sizes navigate complex global risks.

The role presents opportunities to work on the visual revamp and user experience design of Marsh Captive Solutions technology platforms and other proprietary applications.

We will count on you to:

• Work with the Marsh Captive Solutions business and technology teams to develop digital solutions using basic coding, mainstream applications and software such as HTML5, JavaScript, Figma, Adobe XD and other supporting design tools for key stakeholders.
• Assisting in driving the overall product vision, strategy, roadmap, and requirements for our multiple products. Synthesize and prioritize user needs and own the narrative of what problem should be solved, for whom, how, and why it matters.
• Demonstrate responsiveness to manage iterative workflow across time zones for seamless delivery on dynamic fast-paced projects.
• Champion a human-centered design approach, passionately understanding and advocating for the needs and preferences of users.
• Translate business requirements, user stories, and research findings into effective design solutions that seamlessly blend functionality with ease-of-use, including user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, product team and other designers, to bring design to life and ensure a cohesive experience. Flexibility to be able to effectively switch between projects to meet business priorities.
• Work alongside product owners and support the development team in the implementation phase, ensuring features maintain high quality and alignment with the design vision.
• Communicate design choices effectively to stakeholders and actively incorporate user feedback. Ability to make balanced judgements/decisions on designing complex products and clear articulation of design rationale.
• Contribute to the iterative development and maintenance of a design system, ensuring consistency and scalability of design elements and patterns across the platform.
• Strong understanding of design system, interaction design, user research and prototyping.
• Possess excellent attention to detail and create accurate output. Have good logical thinking, analyzing and problem-solving skills.
• Drive continuous improvement by suggesting product enhancements, advocating best practices, generating innovative ideas.
• Excellent team player – be able to build collaborative working relationships with onshore stakeholders and with the other team members within Knowledge Services team.

What you need to have:

• A bachelor’s degree with 12 to 15 years hands-on-experience in a UI/UX domain within a corporate environment with the agile ability to keep pace with dynamics.
• Web design experience working with web developers or digital companies on the front-end design of portals/websites with robust knowledge of UI/UX concepts.
• Prior experience working on HTML5 and JavaScript is needed for this role.
• Prior experience designing front-end visualizations of webpages, microsites, digital interfaces etc. would be beneficial for the role along with any knowledge of CRM tools, enterprise-level applications, WordPress, SaaS (software as a service), etc.
• A UI/UX certification from institutes such as HFI or equivalent to demonstrate a clear understanding of usability principles to own the entire design process, including interaction and visual design, for complex features.
• A strong portfolio of work demonstrating design thinking, design process, and solutions across multiple mediums.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud/Creative Suite. Underlying knowledge of design basics and experience on software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop would be needed for visualization of digital content.
• Communication Skills - articulate design choices and concepts and communicate effectively with stakeholders across levels verbally and in writing.
