Job Role - AWS DevOps Engineer
Job Description :
As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will work with development teams daily to address their infra concerns and deploy appropriate AWS infra solutions. You will also continuously monitor services and perform necessary infra upgrades. You will work as an independent contributor ready to take on new challenges and analyse, design, document, estimate and apply the required changes to the AWS :
- Collaborate with the development team to build the AWS infrastructure
- Deploy, automate, manage and maintain AWS
- Research and develop new techniques to improve AWS services and mitigate issues
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for all data processing (EC2 and Lambda).
- Build infrastructure as code using Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Manages and updates AWS infrastructure plans and documents.
- Performs one-off AWS infrastructure tasks to enable faster development cycles/database access.
- Deploy, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure, defined as
- Regularly monitoring services and creating alerts and dashboards as needed.
- Volunteer and communicate risks and errors to mitigate risks
- Create one-off scripts as pipelines to perform some ad hoc operations on AWS.
- Perform infrastructure cost analysis and Administrator and troubleshoot on Linux/ UNIX -based.
- Responsible for configuring and setting up backups and automated AWS patching for Windows and Linux
- Strong understanding of the CICD process and pipeline
- Experience with one or more AWS SDKs and CLI is a must.
- Experience in code pipeline (build/deploy) is a must.
- Strong knowledge of EC2, and Lambda deployments.
- Strong understanding of application security, hands-on experience with IAM, WAF, Firewall Manager, KMS, API Gateway.
- Good understanding of AWS storage encryption, data at rest and data in transit.
- Experience with building and maintaining AWS infrastructure: EBS, S3, RDS, VPC,
- Route53, ELB, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, SQS, SES.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, ELK and deploying applications on AWS.
- Experience with Python programming language and tech stacks is a plus.
- Knowledge of sprint lifecycles and their rituals. Understanding of the importance of adhering to processes and delivery timelines.
- Advanced Nginx/Apache, SSH, MySQL configuration and operational experience
- Basic knowledge of IP networking, VPN, DNS, load balancing and a firewall.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience working with cloud services such as AWS.
- Solid experience designing and implementing complex DevOps solutions.
- Experience in cloud-hosted environments such as Amazon AWS and Google GCP Cloud, AWS Lambda and AWS CloudFormation.
- A good AWS DevOps development background
