Job Description: Head of Wealth & Investment Management Operations


Role Overview

The Head of Wealth & Investment Management Operations will lead the end-to-end operations supporting Wealth, Private Banking, and Investment Management businesses. The role is accountable for operational strategy, service delivery, risk management, digital transformation, and regulatory compliance across all operational functions. This leader will partner closely with Product, Distribution, Risk, Technology, and Compliance teams to deliver a seamless, client-centric operating model.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage all Wealth & Investment Management Operations covering onboarding, investment operations, portfolio administration, settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions, client servicing, and middle-office functions.
  • Define the operating model, process architecture, and service standards that support business growth and customer experience.
  • Drive operational excellence using automation, workflow orchestration, and digital tools.
  • Oversee operational risk management, ensuring strong controls, audit readiness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Implement robust governance frameworks across KYC/AML, suitability, transaction monitoring, and investment compliance.
  • Ensure high-quality client experience for HNI/UHNI investors through timely and accurate execution of investment and service requests.
  • Drive capability building, succession planning, and a culture of ownership, governance, and continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 20++ years of experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, or Investment Management Operations.
  • Strong understanding of financial products (MF, PMS, AIFs, Equities, Bonds, Derivatives, Structured Products, Insurance).
  • Proven experience in operational risk, regulatory compliance, and governance.
  • Track record of leading large teams and driving transformation.
  • Deep knowledge of industry regulations (SEBI, RBI, AMFI, FATCA/CRS, KYC/AML).
  • Expertise in workflow automation, STP, client lifecycle management, and investment operations platform
