Job Title : Manager, DevSecOps


Job Description :


DevSecOps Manager is a technical hand-on leadership role focused on DevSecOps engineering practices and enable automation across the enterprise. This purpose of this role will not only provide technical directions but also oversight DevSecOps enablement and enhancements to deliver business applications in AWS/Azure Cloud. DevSecOps lead will also be accountable for the successful implementation, deployments, and configuration management along with development of new automation and agile practices (CI/CD) Duties


Responsibilities :


- Lead application deployment in the cloud with Continuous integration and Continuous deployment by using DevSecOps tools and technologies.


- Assist in transforming application to run on microservices application architectures.


- Propose and implement cloud application transformation and automation based on business requirements.


- Lead automation effort to convert manual application deployments by using configuration management tool such as Ansible.


- Understand Application Architecture and assist in building, enhancing and optimizing container-based deployment.


- Lead the team of software developers and engineers to build cloud native application and DevSecOps standards.


- Implement cloud best practices for application deployments (CI/CD) and configuration management.


- Deploy cloud services using Gitlab CI/CD, Terraform IaC and Ansible Configuration management


- Lead DevSecOps Code reviews, manage and maintain shared code repositories


- Lead DevSecOps engineering practices to ensure standards are enforced across entire pipeline and code artifacts.


- Lead and direct cloud engineering resources to ensure timely delivery of services.


- Responsible for mentoring junior talent as well as directing technical staff through technical challenges, tasks, and projects.


- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Architecture, Security, Agile Coaches, Project team etc)


- Own the delivery of an entire application migration by implementing DevSecOps practices.


- Collaborate with Application team, cloud architects and DevSecOps SRE team


Qualifications :


Required Work Experience :


- 8 years of professional experience in software development using cloud services and 3 years of hands-on Kubernetes development experience


Preferred Work Experience :


- Application development, Security, and cloud migration experience


- Kubernetes Container technology experience to mplement stateful and stateless application


- Configuration management experience by using Ansible


- DevSecOps experience by using Gitlab


- Strong development and Infrastructure IaC experience to build and execute CI/CD.


Physical and Mental Requirements :


- Ability to follow verbal or written instructions, thinking analytically, using effective verbal and written l communication, Handling stress & emotions, and Making decisions.


Knowledge :


- Serverless programming, API development, Kubernetes Services, Kubernetes security, Helm Charts, GitOps, AWS PaaS, IaaS, DBaaS, Cloud Native and microservice architecture, Expert in Gitlab CI/CD, expert in Terraform and Ansible.


- Experience with AWS lambda, python programming, AWS cloudwatch, SSM etc, Software development and Cloud Migration experience in AWS is must,


Skills :


- Kubernetes , Cloud Engineering, Cloud programming, Cloud IaaS, PaaS and DBaaS, Application Migration, Cloud Automation, Gitlab CI/CD. Java, Python, Ruby, PHP and NET, Agile :


- Responsible to lead a technical team of 5-8 resources. Provide feedback, coaching and mentorship to the team members, resolving conflicts, setting up goals, adjust priorities and motivate team members to meet organizational objective. Also responsible for yearly salary and performance reviews.


Work Environment :


- This position is eligible for remote work in US EST hours.


Travel Required :


- Domestic International 0-10% 0%


Required Education :


- Bachelors degree in any professional area with minimum 10 years experience in IT.


Preferred :


Education: Masters degree in computer science or MBA/MTech


- Kubernetes CKAD certification


- AWS/Azure DevOps or Developer Certification


- Terraform and/or Ansible Certification


- Preferred Technical Training or : Cloud : Language Required? English


Competencies : Strong Communication and management skills.
