1Role - Japanese Bilingual - Senior Developer / Technical Lead

2Required Technical Skill Set - Core Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, MySQL database, Postgress database

3Desired Experience Range - 4 to 10Years

4Location of Requirement - Chennai, Pune

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

(Ideally should not be more than 3-5)

1. JLPT N3 or N2 certified. Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in Japanese with native speakers
2. Must have 5 to 10 years of IT experience in Application Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance projects
3. Knowledge and hands on experience in Java technologies including Core Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, MySQL database, Postgress database, NPM, Maven, VS Code, IntelliJ Idea, GitHub
4. Ability to effectively coordinate with Customer SMEs, Onsite and Offshore teams
5. Actively involve in Application transition and stabilization phases by aligning to Japan (JST) working hours
6. Advanced knowledge of designing and implementing APIs and integrations in insurance or financial systems

Good-to-Have

1. Exposure on Agile methodology, DevOps, Security vulnerability management and P&C Insurance domain knowledge
2. Familiarity with OpenShift, containerization, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub), and DevOps practices.
3. Exposure to test automation (SoapUI, Postman) and monitoring tools.
4. Knowledge of distributed architecture, microservices, and Japanese insurance regulatory requirements.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Fluent in reading, writing, and conversing in both Japanese & English languages to establish good coordination and communication with Customer, Onsite and Offshore teams

Ready to work in JST morning hours as required to extend the support for Application transition and stabilization phases of Application Design, Development, Testing and Maintenance projects

Actively involve in supporting architecture decisions, prepare design documents, coding, conduct code reviews, ensure code quality compliance, troubleshoot technical issues, defect fixes, successful build and deployments

Actively contribute towards various Transformation initiatives (Process maturity, Devops automation, Security vulnerability remediation, etc.) to achieve the project goals

Mentoring and guiding junior team members while assigning and tracking the tasks for closure without any schedule, quality and cost slippages

Develop backend components and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and NodeJS for core insurance processes.

Design and implement RESTful and SOAP APIs for integration with frontend, third-party, and COTS platforms (Guidewire, Salesforce, etc.).

Collaborate with frontend, data, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end digital solutions.

9

Utilize batch processing tools (Control-M, JP1, Job Scheduler) for scheduled insurance operations and reporting.
