Job Summary:
The Graphic Designer will play a vital role in conceptualizing and producing compelling visual content for our news platform. This position demands creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging graphics that align with editorial standards. The designer will collaborate closely with editorial teams, video producers, and marketing to deliver visual assets for articles, social media, presentations, and multimedia features. The ideal candidate has strong visual storytelling skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced news environment with tight deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and design graphics, illustrations, and infographics to accompany news stories and features

• Create visual assets for digital platforms, including website banners, social media posts, and email newsletters

• Maintain visual consistency and adhere to the brand guidelines across all channels

• Collaborate with editors, journalists, and content teams to understand design requirements and project goals

• Edit and adapt images to optimize for different formats and devices

• Ensure accuracy and clarity of information presented in visual elements

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet strict publication deadlines

• Source appropriate images and secure necessary rights when needed

• Stay updated on design trends and industry best practices

• Support video teams with basic motion graphics or title cards as required
Primary Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

• Strong understanding of layout, typography, and color theory

• Ability to create data visualizations and infographics

• Knowledge of image optimization for web and mobile

• Familiarity with content management systems and publishing workflows

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field

• Certification in digital design tools is an advantage

• Portfolio showcasing a range of professional design work

Experience:

• 2–7 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in digital publishing or media
