Job Purpose:This position in Vendor Development is accountable for the Sourcing of cells, Busbar, Battery Child Parts, BMS, Motor, MCU & Charges.Position Overview:Location: ChennaiPosition Title: Specialist - Vendor Development (Battery and Motors)Reports to: LeadFunction: Vendor DevelopmentWhat you'll bring:Experience: 5 to 10 years’ experience in Vendor Development – Battery and MotorsQualification: Bachelor’s degree in EEE/ECE/Mechanical/Automobile/Production Required Skillset:5+ years of hands-on experience in EV Vendor Development Functions.Experience in the Automotive industry is mandatoryExperience in SAP, PLM is mandatoryExperience in Powertrain and e-mobility solutions is highly preferredKnowledge in FUSA, DFMEA, PFMEA, EMI/EMC, and Automotive test standards like AIS, UL, ECER100, etc.Technical Skills Should have experience in the development of Cells, Battery Packs, and other Battery Pack child parts, Chargers, DC-DC Converters, Motors, MCU, Transmission systemsExperience in Cell sourcing, Price settlements & RM indexing of cells is an added advantageShould have experience in EV Parts Sourcing, Vendor Development, Costing, Negotiation and Price SettlementShould have the exposure in Cost estimation for the Battery Pack & Chargers, DC-DC Converters, Motors, MCU, Transmission systemsTechnical understanding on Battery Pack assembly / Manufacturing, BMS assy, Hardware and Software and Chargers, Motor and MCUAbility to understand the Battery engineering & BMS, drgs and performance curvesE- Component, connectors & contactors knowledgeShould have the knowledge on Supplier base on EV components (Proto & Mass Production).Awareness of Market Trends, Domestic & Global gov’t policies, Impact analysis, Competitive Benchmark data, Market Intelligence.Awareness on Automotive standards / Testing related to Cells, Battery Packs, BMS, Thermals, Motor, Charger (On board/ Off board) etc.,Working knowledge of manufacturing and system processes (PPAP, APQP).SAP MM & PLM user experience.
