Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented ETL Tester with strong expertise in SQL and complex SQL queries, along with experience in data migration projects and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting end-to-end ETL testing across various systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
  • Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and data quality testing across source and target systems.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to validate transformed data.
  • Conduct data migration testing, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of migrated data.
  • Collaborate with ETL developers, data engineers, and business teams to understand data flows and transformation logic.
  • Identify, analyze, and report defects; work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Validate data pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and support testing of workloads moved to the cloud.
  • Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, and defect triage meetings.
  • Ensure test deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience as an ETL Tester or Data QA Engineer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL and writing complex SQL queries (joins, aggregations, subqueries, window functions).
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of data migration projects and methodologies.
  • Some experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data models.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
