Job Description :

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Governance & Risk Officer to lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of IT risks within the banking domain. This critical role ensures the security and compliance of the organization's IT infrastructure, aligning with industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly SAMA regulations.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

- A Master's degree or certifications in risk management (CRISC, COBIT, ITIL, CISA, CISM) is highly beneficial.

Experience :

- 3 - 5 years of experience in IT risk management, information security, or technology risk assessment.

- Experience in the banking or financial sector is strongly preferred.

Key Knowledge Areas :

IT Risk Management :

- Expertise in IT risk assessment techniques, risk management frameworks, and compliance with SAMA (Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority) regulations.

Governance Frameworks :

- Familiarity with ISO, COBIT, and IT Governance Frameworks (ITGF).

Regulatory Compliance :

- Strong understanding of industry standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and SAMA/NCA regulations (e.g., ITGF, CSF) to ensure full regulatory compliance.

Core Skills :

Risk Assessment & Mitigation :

- Skilled in identifying vulnerabilities, conducting IT risk assessments, and developing effective mitigation strategies.

Analytical & Problem-Solving :

- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex technical information and resolving issues efficiently.

Technical Expertise :

- In-depth knowledge of IT controls, encryption, network security, access control, and incident response procedures.

Security Technologies :

- Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and other security technologies is a plus.

Communication & Collaboration :

Stakeholder Communication :

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for presenting IT risk findings and recommendations to management, regulators, and stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Ability to collaborate effectively with IT, compliance, audit, and business teams for a comprehensive approach to IT risk governance.

- Ensure that IT systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, particularly in the banking sector.

Policy Development :

- Contribute to the creation and improvement of IT risk management policies and procedures.
