We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to support our U.S.-based healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare operations, with at least 2 years specifically in insurance verification. This is a permanent remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic global team.
Responsibilities
* Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility with U.S. payers (commercial and government).
* Confirm benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and authorization requirements prior to services.
* Communicate effectively with providers, payers, and internal teams to resolve coverage issues.
* Accurately document verification results in client systems and maintain audit-ready records.
* Identify discrepancies and escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders.
* Stay updated on payer policies, coverage changes, and industry best practices.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
Qualifications
* Minimum 4 years of experience in healthcare operations, with at least 2 years in insurance verification for U.S. providers.
* Strong understanding of U.S. insurance types (Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, HMO, etc.).
* Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and insurance portals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
