AND Academy invites applications for the positions of Assistant Professor - Course Leader to join their academic team.

AND Academy is a design upskilling venture launched by the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), a leading design school in India established in collaboration with Kingston School of Art, London. We offer part-time Certificate & Diploma programs in Graphic Design, UX UI Design, and Interior Design, taught remotely online through live interactive sessions. With a curriculum developed by industry stalwarts and experienced academicians, our mission is to make learning design accessible, affordable, and industry-relevant.

With nearly a decade of experience in higher education, the team at AND Academy brings its expertise to online design education to create active, interactive, and collaborative learning experiences through live sessions and strategic tech integration. This role is for individuals who can adapt themselves to our learning-teaching methodology and bring along their professional expertise to help graduates and working professionals transform their careers through design training.

Minimum Qualifications

• UG/PG degree or equivalent in Architecture / Interior Architecture / Interior Design from a reputed design school.
• For Assistant Professor role: Minimum relevant industry experience of 6-8 years, including some teaching experience OR 10 years of industry experience in case of no prior teaching experience.

What we are looking for:

• Course Leader - This means they will be responsible for upholding the course vision, academic quality and standards, and manage the administrative operations. The Course Managers / Full-time faculty and Course Assistant will eventually be reporting to Course Lead.
• Strong understanding of fundamental concepts, processes, methods, techniques, and digital technology (including software skills) pertaining to the specialized field of Interior Design.
• Domain knowledge should be backed with practical professional experience of using these in an industry & business context, as well as an updated knowledge of trends and technology.
• A tech friendly attitude as you will be working on multiple digital platforms to collaborate and interact with colleagues as well as learners. If you are a tech-enthusiast, that will be an added bonus

Role and Responsibility:

• You will join our teaching team at AND Academy as a full-time faculty. Based on your area of expertise you will teach on any of our diploma programme - Interior Design
• Your main responsibility will be to implement our well-structured curriculum and course delivery plan through teaching, mentoring, and assessments.
• Besides conducting the live sessions (online classes) with students, this will also include: developing study material, planning class interactions & activities, developing assignments & project briefs, providing constructive feedback (written / verbal), facilitating tech integration, and managing course delivery on our world-class Learning Management System.
• You will also actively participate in course monitoring and enhancement activities to continually improve the quality of student learning and experience.
• You should proactively seek opportunities to stay abreast of new techniques and processes in the area of your expertise through industry projects, research, conferences, seminars, workshops, certifications, etc.
• You will be networking with the industry to facilitate student exposure, interactions, internships, and placements.
• You will be required to collaborate with the admission team, corporate communications team, and career services team to contribute to student enrollment, brand building, and student placements through information and interactions.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues demonstrating a high level of team spirit, and contribute as an active member of a progressive community of practitioners.
• Overall, we are looking for someone who is interested in still learning their craft and honing it above and beyond industry requirements and is excited to share their journey with peers and students.

Job Location – B26, Okhla Phase 1, New Delhi

Working Hours –

• 9am to 5pm work from office on non-class days.
• 9am to 1pm work from office and 6pm to 10pm work from home during class days
• 1 day per week work from home
