What makes the role meaty?


Design Leadership & Strategy

• Define and drive the product design vision and strategy aligned with business and product goals

• Establish a robust design system and design standards ensuring consistency, scalability, and brand alignment

• Champion design thinking, user-centricity, and accessibility across all digital touchpoints


User Experience & Interaction Design

• Lead the design of end-to-end user journeys: discovery, purchase, checkout, and post-purchase

• Translate insights from user research and data analytics into actionable design solutions

• Balance delightful aesthetics with functional usability to optimize customer experience and

conversion


Collaboration & Influence

• Partner with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and marketers to deliver impactful product experiences.

• Influence roadmap prioritisation by advocating for user needs and design impact on business metrics.

• Collaborate with brand & communication design to ensure digital product experiences reflect the Licious brand ethos.


Team Leadership & Growth

• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product design team (UI, UX, Research, Design Ops)

• Set up processes, tools, and best practices for design delivery at scale

• Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and craft excellence


We hope that you have..

• 10+ years of design experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles.

• Proven track record of building and scaling design teams in consumer internet / ecommerce /

consumer brands.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in product design, brand design, and holistic consumer

experience.

• Expertise in design systems, user research, and design operations.

• Ability to balance business goals, user needs, and creative vision.

• Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

• Passion for consumer brands, food, and creating delightful experiences.

• B.Des/M.Des or a degree in relevant domain
