Pune Maharashtra India, Maharashtra Quintrans Full time

About Us:

We are building next generation of motors and control systems for applications in robotics, electric vehicles, automation, and industrial motion. Our focus is on creating cost-efficient, high-performance linear and rotary actuators for OEMs across India and globally.

We’re looking for a hands-on embedded systems engineer with deep experience in PMSM and BLDC motor control, who thrives in fast-paced development cycles and wants to make a meaningful impact on real-world motion systems.

Key Responsibilities:

•Design and develop embedded firmware for motor control systems using FOC (Field Oriented Control), SVPWM, and other real-time algorithms.

•Implement sensorless and sensored control algorithms for PMSM/BLDC motors.

•Work with STM32, TI C2000, PIC, or similar microcontrollers for motor control firmware development.

•Own PID tuning, current/torque/speed loop implementation, and system optimization.

•Develop hardware bring-up test routines, overcurrent/undervoltage protection, stall detection, and diagnostics.

•Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and systems teams on board bring-up, testing, and integration.

•Document architecture, design, and test results; maintain version-controlled firmware repositories.

Required Skills & Experience:

•2-3 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably bare-metal or lightweight RTOS.

•Proven experience working with PMSM/BLDC motor control in production or advanced prototyping.

•Strong understanding of sensorless FOC, back-EMF/observer/PLL methods, and practical challenges in tuning control loops.

•Hands-on experience with motor control toolchains (TI InstaSPIN, ST Motor Control SDK, Microchip Motor Control Library, etc.)

•Proficient in C / C++, debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers), and Git.

What You Get:

•Opportunity to be a part of the core team / early hires here at Quintrans.

•Direct ownership of key features that ship in real-world motion platforms.

•Fast iteration cycle, collaborative tech-first team, and freedom to innovate.

•Competitive Salary with ESOPs.
