We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with a passion for Ruby on Rails development and a keen interest in working within a startup environment to drive the development of cutting-edge products and gadgets.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Ruby on Rails, experience with design and architecture patterns, strong testing skills, and familiarity with cloud technologies.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the development of cutting-edge products and gadgets within a startup environment.

- Utilize design and architecture patterns to create scalable and maintainable solutions.

- Deep understanding of testing processes, debugging, code version control, and repository maintenance.

- Take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion.

- Develop and maintain Ruby on Rails applications with a focus on quality, performance, and security.

- Implement automated testing and follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.

- Work with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for development and deployment.

- Build services for information delivery from server to mobile clients using relevant tools and technologies.

- Design and optimize relational databases and manage distributed transactions.

- Work with remote data via RESTful APIs and JSON.

- Ship backend integrated apps, ideally currently available on Google Play.

- Develop backend APIs and ensure compatibility with mobile clients.

- Familiarity with Android Studio, Eclipse IDE, and other relevant development tools.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

- 6+ years of overall experience in software development, with at least 4 years of strong expertise in Ruby on Rails.

- Experience with automated testing and TDD practices.

- Strong sense of project ownership and responsibility.

- Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly GCP.

- Experience with relational databases, database architecture, and distributed transaction management.

- Proficiency in working with remote data via RESTful APIs and JSON.

- Experience with open-source libraries and tools such as Retrofit, RxJava, Dagger 2, Lottie, and Linux.

- Experience shipping backend integrated apps, ideally available on Google Play.

- Knowledge of backend APIs and mobile client compatibility.

- Experience with React, Elixir, or Kafka is a plus.

- Familiarity with large systems development and server/internet security.

- Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
