Keysight Technologies, or Keysight, is a US company that manufactures electronic test and measurement equipment and software. In 2014, Keysight was spun off from Agilent Technologies, bringing with it the product lines focused on electronics and radio, leaving Agilent with the chemical and bio-analytical products. The name is a blend of key and insight, and was chosen to convey that the company "unlocks" "critical or key insights.
Keysight's products include hardware and software for benchtop, modular, and field instruments. Instruments include oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, atomic force microscopes (AFM), automated optical inspection, automated X-ray inspection (5DX), in-circuit testers, power supplies, tunable lasers, optical power meters, wavelength-meters, electro-optic converters, optical modulation analyzers and handheld tools. In addition, it produces electronic design automation (EDA) software (EEsof division). It mainly serves the telecommunications, aerospace/defense, industrial, computer, and semiconductor industries.
Job Description :
As a QA R&D Engineer, you will be at the forefront of testing and quality assurance for cutting-edge HSD solutions. You will leverage a wide range of test techniques, tools, and methodologies to ensure our EDA products meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Software Testing & Qualification:
- Test and qualify Keysight HSD software solutions and simulation software like ADS, SIPro, PIPro.
- Conduct functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and supportability testing for EEsof EDA tools.
- Automation & Manual Testing:
- Execute automated test cases and manual testing to ensure product quality.
- Design flow testing of EEsof EDA tools with a focus on HSD applications.
- Defect & Improvement Management:
- Identify and capture defects and design flow breakages during the software development cycle.
- Recommend improvements to enhance software for HSD applications.
- Agile Development & QA Plans:
- Participate in Agile Scrum teams, focusing on sprint tasks and goals.
- Create and execute QA Test Plans for new product features.
- Generate automated test cases and scripts for regression testing.
- Customer Interaction & Support:
- Engage in Early Access/Beta testing programs and support customers.
- Analyze customer-reported defects and convert them into design flows and test cases.
- Support various quality initiatives and ensure customer issues are addressed promptly.
Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- PHD or Master's degree in ECE/EEE.
Professional Experience :
- 4-12 years of experience in the High-Speed Digital domain.
- Proficiency in signal and power integrity modeling and simulation using EDA tools such as Keysight
ADS.
- Expertise in high-speed design boards in pre-layout and post-layout simulation scenarios.
- Strong knowledge of high-speed digital interfaces like DDR (DDR4, LPDDR4, DDR5, LPDDR5), PCIe (Gen 3, 4, 5), etc.
- Experience in designing, simulating, and validating compliance tests on High-Speed Interfaces (PCIe, MIPI, USB, HDMI, DDR4/5).
Technical Skills :
- Familiarity with scripting programming languages like Python and Shell.
- Experience with designing and analyzing multi-gigabit serial links (PCIe, Ethernet, MIPI, SATA, USB).
Soft Skills :
- Self-motivated and self-organized.
- Excellent team player, responsive, and accountable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills :
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodology.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and Git source control.
- Experience with Atlassian tools - Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins.
