Responsibilities :

- Design and architect highly scalable backend services and APIs using NodeJS and Python, with a keen focus on performance and responsiveness.

- Collaborate closely with the cross-functional team to understand product requirements and ensure that the backend infrastructure meets scalability and security needs.

- Build and optimize database structures using Postgres or other suitable technologies to ensure data integrity, high availability, and efficient query performance.

- Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms to secure APIs and user data, following best practices and industry standards.

- Proactively identify potential security vulnerabilities and conduct regular security assessments to ensure the highest level of protection for our product and users.

- Work with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and IAM, to architect and maintain a secure and scalable cloud infrastructure.

- Implement caching and optimization strategies to improve response times and reduce server load.

- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to performance issues and security threats promptly.

- Employ containerization technologies like Docker to enhance scalability and manage deployments efficiently.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline continuous integration and deployment processes, ensuring smooth and reliable software releases.

- Conduct thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and adhere to coding standards to ensure code quality and security.

- Plan and execute load testing and stress testing scenarios to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in backend technologies, security protocols, and best practices.

- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven 5 years of experience in backend development, with a focus on scalability and security, using NodeJS, Python and PostgreSQL.

- Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.

- Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and securing cloud-based applications.

- Proficiency in designing and developing scalable, high-availability, and distributed backend systems.

- Solid knowledge of database technologies like Postgres, and expertise in optimizing database performance and security.

- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes is a plus.

- Familiarity with serverless architecture and event-driven programming is advantageous.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to architect solutions that balance scale and security requirements.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
