SAP Data Conversion

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Data Conversion Consultant to lead and execute data migration activities during S/4HANA implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading (ETL) processes using tools such as SAP Data Services (BODS), Migration Cockpit (LTMC/LTMOM), and LSMW, along with a solid understanding of SAP master and transactional data structures across key modules.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end data conversion process from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to define data migration strategy, scope, and timelines.
  • Identify and map data objects (Master Data, Transactional Data, Configuration Data).
  • Develop and maintain data mapping, transformation, and validation logic.
  • Utilize tools such as SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, BODS, or Data Services for data load activities.
  • Perform data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Coordinate with functional leads for mock loads, cutover planning, and go-live support.
  • Prepare detailed documentation — including data mapping sheets, load templates, and conversion plans.
  • Troubleshoot load errors and optimize data load performance.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8–12 years of total SAP experience with at least 3–5 years focused on S/4HANA Data Migration or Conversion.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following tools:
  • SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC / LTMOM)
  • SAP Data Services (BODS)
  • LSMW or Custom ETL frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of data objects in FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, and HR modules.
  • Familiarity with cutover planning, data reconciliation, and validation techniques.
  • Experience working with functional teams to ensure data alignment with business processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple data streams in large, complex projects.
