Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team in Gurgaon. The candidate will be responsible for providing first-level technical support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, assisting users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and basic applications (MS Office, browsers, email clients, etc.).
  • Handle network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, basic router/switch configurations).
  • Support users via phone, email, or in person, and log issues in the ticketing system.
  • Assist with system upgrades, patch installations, and antivirus updates.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as system health checks, backup checks, and device installations.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers or vendors for unresolved issues.
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure adherence to IT policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma/Graduate in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of:
  • Windows OS and MS Office
  • Hardware components and troubleshooting
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow processes.

Preferred (Good to Have)

  • Certification such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, or Microsoft MCP.
  • Experience with any ticketing tool (ServiceNow, Jira, Fresh service, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory (user creation, password reset).

Work Environment

  • On-site role based in Gurgaon.
  • May require rotational shifts depending on business needs.
