Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and software packages on physical and virtual servers.

- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring adherence to security policies and best practices.

- Implement and maintain system backup and recovery procedures to protect against data loss and minimize downtime.

- Configure and manage network services, including DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and NFS, to support internal and external communication and collaboration.

- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls, to protect against unauthorized access and malicious activities.

- Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades in accordance with established procedures and change management processes.

- Create and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and support.

- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving issues and answering inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

- Collaborate with other IT teams, including network administrators, system engineers, and developers, to support IT initiatives and projects.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 4-5 years of experience in Linux system administration.

- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and managing Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS.

- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or KVM.

- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and NFS.

- Familiarity with security best practices and tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls.

- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and scripting tasks.

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
