Management Information Systems Specialist

To lead the development and governance of MIS, analytics, and performance reporting frameworks for large-scale EPC, solar, and infrastructure projects. The role ensures data-driven decision making by consolidating project data, analyzing performance trends, creating predictive dashboards, and enabling leadership visibility into cost, schedule, risk, productivity, and operational metrics across all project functions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project MIS Development & Governance

• Design, implement, and maintain project-focused MIS dashboards and reports covering planning, execution, budgeting, risk, procurement, quality, and site performance.
• Consolidate project data from EPC systems, SAP/ERP, Primavera/MSP, and field reports to ensure accurate, integrated project monitoring.
• Standardize project KPIs such as cost variance, schedule deviation, productivity, risk index, procurement status, and cash flow.
• Drive automation of reporting workflows using Power BI, SAP extracts, data models, and digital PMO tools.
• Ensure MIS alignment with large project governance frameworks and PMO requirements.

2. Project Analytics & Performance Insights

• Perform trend analysis, variance analysis, EVM (Earned Value Management), root-cause studies, and risk analytics to support project leadership.
• Deliver insights on project performance—cost overruns, schedule delays, material efficiency, contractor performance, and resource utilization.
• Conduct forecasting and scenario planning for budgets, timelines, manpower, and cash flows.
• Recommend process improvements and productivity enhancements for project sites and engineering teams.

3. Dashboarding, Visualization & Reporting

• Build interactive dashboards using Power BI / Tableau for real-time visibility into project KPIs, site progress, and portfolio performance.
• Work closely with project heads, planning teams, finance, and engineering to convert business requirements into analytical dashboards.
• Prepare structured MIS reports, project scorecards, and executive summaries for weekly/monthly management and board reviews.
• Ensure clarity, strong visual storytelling, and actionable insights for senior leadership.

4. Data Quality, Controls & System Integration

• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all project MIS sources and systems.
• Establish validation logics, audit trails, and exception reporting for project data.
• Coordinate with ERP, SAP-PS, Primavera/MSP, and IT teams to strengthen data architecture and flow between planning, execution, and finance functions.
• Maintain a single source of truth for project data across the organization.

5. Strategic & PMO Support

• Provide analytical support for PMO governance, including project reviews, portfolio dashboards, and risk assessments.
• Support formulation and monitoring of project KPIs, contractor performance dashboards, and productivity benchmarks.
• Contribute to strategic programs such as digital PMO initiatives, automation of site reporting, and project analytics maturity enhancement.
• Prepare insights for management reviews, investment cases, and business planning discussions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:
• MBA / PGDM in Analytics, Operations, Finance, Project Management, or
• B.Tech / B.E. (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil) with analytics or project reporting specialization.
• Experience:
• 8–12 years of combined experience in Large EPC/Solar/Infrastructure Projects + MIS/Analytics/Business Intelligence roles.
• Strong exposure to project monitoring, PMO reporting, or project control functions.
• Preferred Exposure:
• Power BI, Tableau, SAP (especially SAP-PS), Primavera/MSP, ERP systems, Advanced Excel, and corporate MIS environments.
• Experience working with large project data, dashboards, project governance processes, and performance analytics.
