About the Role


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to lead the operational excellence of our premier MICE-focused hotel in India. This role is pivotal in ensuring flawless execution of meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions, while driving profitability, efficiency, and an exceptional guest experience.


The ideal candidate is a strategic hospitality leader with deep operational expertise, a passion for service excellence, and proven success in managing large-scale MICE operations within a luxury or upper-upscale hotel environment.


Key Responsibilities


Oversee and manage daily hotel operations across all departments — Rooms, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Engineering, and Security.


Ensure seamless planning and execution of large MICE events, conferences, and social functions in partnership with the Sales & Events team.


Develop and implement SOPs to drive consistency, efficiency, and service quality across all operational areas.


Work closely with the General Manager to manage budgets, forecasts, and overall P&L performance.


Drive profitability through cost control, revenue optimization, and operational innovation.


Maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction and quality assurance, ensuring that every event and stay exceeds expectations.


Lead and develop a high-performing operations team through mentorship, empowerment, and continuous training.


Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and statutory regulations.


Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams to enhance the hotel’s MICE positioning and market share.


Requirements


Education: Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management / Business Administration.


Experience: 10–15 years of hospitality experience, including at least 5 years in a senior operational leadership role within a 5-star or luxury MICE-oriented hotel.


Strong financial acumen with a track record of delivering on budgets and operational KPIs.


Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Proven expertise in managing complex, large-scale MICE operations.


Hands-on, guest-centric leader with strong attention to detail and a passion for operational excellence.
