Opportunity: VP- AI & Data Science

We are looking for a Senior Leader – AI & Data Science who is passionate about building real-world impact through artificial intelligence and data-driven innovation. This role offers the opportunity to define and lead Volo’s AI strategy, driving initiatives that have the potential to set new benchmarks for the industry.

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary who believes in using AI not just as a tool, but as a catalyst to reimagine how businesses operate and customers experience health and insurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and Lead AI Strategy – Develop and execute Volo’s AI vision and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
  • From Ideation to Scale – Take ideas from concept to measurable impact, driving change management, adoption, and business transformation.
  • Product-Led Innovation – Approach challenges with a product mindset, designing solutions that enhance customer and partner experiences across our ecosystem (members, insurers, brokers, providers).
  • Collaboration & Execution – Partner with business and technology teams to implement AI-driven solutions with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
  • Team Leadership – Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing AI and Data Science team; foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and innovation.
  • AI-First Thinking – Drive adoption of AI-first processes and embed intelligent decision-making across business functions.
  • ROI & Business Impact – Establish clear metrics and frameworks to demonstrate the tangible impact of AI on key business performance indicators.

Desired Qualifications

  • Engineering background, preferably in Computer Science; advanced certifications in AI / Data Science are a plus.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in AI, data science, or analytics leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of end-to-end product or solution development — from 0→1, then scaling from 1→10 and beyond.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, product development cycles, and agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
