Overview

The Icertis Functional Consultant will play a key role within Cognizant’s CLM practice, contributing to solution delivery, pursuit support, and capability development. This role requires strong functional understanding of end-to-end contracting processes across industries and the ability to translate them into effective Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) system configurations. The consultant will collaborate with leadership, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to drive successful CLM implementations and maximize business value through technology enablement.

Roles and Responsibilities

Pursuits & Pre-Sales Support

• Review RFP requirements and support pursuit teams in developing high-quality response content.
• Build functional prototypes and solution demos aligned with client business needs.
• Stay updated on CLM market trends and contribute to thought leadership, position papers, and practice collateral.

Project Delivery & Implementation

• Participate in end-to-end delivery of Icertis CLM implementations, including requirement gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct/lead functional workshops to analyze current processes and define future-state workflows, including Fit/Gap analysis.
• Gather functional requirements for contract types, templates, clauses, rules, workflows, security, integrations, reporting, and migration.
• Support or lead contract migration activities, including data gathering and validation.
• Maintain requirements traceability from initiation through implementation.
• Work closely with business users to conduct requirement reviews and obtain sign-offs.
• Prepare and execute functional test scenarios and UAT scripts; collaborate with technical teams during development cycles.
• Work closely with Icertis team on resolving L3 tickets created for customization, workflow disruptions which require fix from the backend.
• Needs to have a good working knowledge on API backed integrations using middleware and direct link with Icertis.
• Develop training materials and conduct “train-the-trainer” sessions for client teams.
• Track and manage issues, ensuring timely resolution of functional requirements.
• Prepare change management artifacts including go-live communications and end-user readiness content.

Practice Development

• Contribute to internal initiatives such as market research, process enhancements, and development of reusable assets.
• Support the practice in advancing CLM domain knowledge and emerging technology capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong functional understanding of contract lifecycle management processes across domains.
• Hands-on experience with the Icertis Contract Intelligence (ICI) platform (preferred).
• Experience conducting functional workshops, requirement gathering, Fit/Gap analysis, and workflow design.
• Knowledge of contract templates, clauses, obligation management, approval workflows, and metadata structures.
• Ability to translate business processes into system configurations.
• Experience in drafting UAT scripts, training materials, and conducting user training sessions.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams in fast-paced delivery environments.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, including model building, annotation, training, and accuracy tuning.
• Prior exposure to CLM tools such as Icertis, Agiloft, Sirion, Coupa, or DocuSign CLM.
• Experience in data migration, reporting, or integrations in CLM ecosystems.
