About The Role :


We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Data Scientist with a strong algorithmic mindset and problem solving propensity. Since we are operating in a highly competitive market, every opportunity to increase efficiency is critical and the candidate should have an eye for such opportunities. We are constantly innovating working on novel hardware and software so a high level of flexibility and ability to learn is expected.


Key Responsibilities :


- Driving AI Projects: Lead a team of data scientists to work on every aspect of a project like requirement gathering, data collection, data cleaning, preprocessing, feature selection / engineering, model training & evaluation, deployment etc.


- Analytics: Develop and implement advanced ML algorithms to extract actionable insights from complex data sets, contributing to data-driven decision-making.


- Model Evaluation and Optimization: Apply expertise in deep learning models to train and optimize for performance and accuracy. Assess and implement strategies for state-of-the-art model optimization and fine-tuning.


- Machine Learning and Deep Learning: Apply expertise in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn to build and deploy machine learning and deep learning models, optimizing performance and accuracy.


- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Utilize NLP techniques, including but not limited to SpaCy, NLTK, and Transformers, to extract valuable information from unstructured text data, enabling sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and other NLP applications.


- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers and business analysts, to ensure the seamless integration of data science solutions into our products and operations.


- Client Engagement: Work closely with the delivery team and clients to deliver high quality solutions as well as ensure client satisfaction. Be part of discovery calls and propose possible solutions.


- Efficiency Enhancement: Identify and exploit opportunities to improve business processes and reduce costs by leveraging data-driven insights, such as process automation or resource allocation optimization.


- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists, fostering their growth and knowledge in the field.


- Stay Updated: Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI to ensure that our solutions remain at the cutting edge of technology.


Required Qualifications and Skills :


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or any similar field)


- 4 to 6 years of experience in Data Science and AI.


- Strong hands-on experience with ML frameworks.


- Strong proficiency in Python and a deep understanding of Data Science concepts across ML, NLP and Computer vision.


- Experience with LLM based solutions using advanced features like RAG, Conversation Agents etc.


- Experience in deploying advanced AI models into production at scale with good knowledge of Jenkins and Docker.


- Experience with working on solutions using cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP/AZURE.


- Advanced proficiency with web frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, Django, Tornado).


- Proficiency in MongoDB, ElasticSearch and other NoSQL databases.


- Demonstrated experience of leading a team of data scientists in projects from conception to completion.


- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a track record of translating data-driven insights into actionable recommendations.


- Adaptability and a keen desire for continuous learning in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


Preferred Skills (Good to have) :


- Experience with Databricks would be an advantage.


- Experience with Knowledge Graphs.


- Experience in LLM fine tuning (PEFT, LoRA etc.) for production use.


- Experience with MLOps, CI/CD and related tools.


- Major certifications related to machine learning and deep learning
