Overview:

Server administrators are responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. Server Administrator installs hardware and software and participates in continuously improve and keep up with the backend servers/ systems of applications hosted on Data Center/ Cloud Infrastructure. Server administrators also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the department.


Job Overview:

  • Configuration and installation of various servers (Physical and Virtual), SAN Storage and Backup application
  • Creation of Users, Groups, Mailboxes on O365 console
  • Management of Windows and RHEL Servers (File, FTP, Print, so on) SAN Switch and Storage
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Vendor Management


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Configuration of servers, operating systems administration, hardening, load balancers, firewall including but not limited to management of users, processes, resource contention, preventive maintenance, and management of updates & patches to ensure that the system is properly updated.
  • Responsible for leading the Data Center On-Prem and Cloud Servers
  • Periodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing and implementing rectification measures.
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.
  • Managing of AD
  • Performing Backups of servers, DBs and Recovery
  • Proactively monitor client updates using Intune
  • Hands-on experience on the Virtualization preferably VMWare
  • Creation of LUNs and Assigning to respective servers on need basis
  • Hands-on experience on Windows, Linux Operation systems

  • SC, Quality, Equipment, Sales & Mktg & other functions
  • Suppliers: India / Global


Education:

BE IT/CS, BSc Comp Sci/ IT or equivalent degree


Experience:

7+Yrs of experience in the Server Administration both Windows and Linux
