Fretlog, a subsidiary of Arkas Logistics, is looking to fill a Manager – Pricing (Ocean/Air Exports) vacancy in Mumbai.


The Manager - Pricing is responsible for overseeing and managing the pricing strategy for all freight forwarding services, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing structures while aligning with market trends and customer requirements. This role involves coordinating with internal departments, vendors, and customers to develop pricing proposals, manage rate negotiations, and optimize profitability.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Shipping lines and airlines to secure competitive rates and space allocations.
  • Lead rate negotiations and ensure timely procurement of ocean/air freight pricing from Shipping lines and Air lines, with a stronger focus on ocean freight.
  • Managing sea and air pricing and promptly communicating rates to clients while adhering to company policies.
  • Rate quotation for monthly Requests for Quotation (RFQ) from key clients.
  • Preparing sea and air rate quotations for all export inquiries from clients.
  • Communicating with the sales team for rate negotiations, margin discussions, customer indications, and securing business.
  • Work closely with the sales team to align pricing strategies, gather customer feedback, and develop customer retention initiatives.
  • Negotiating with vendors to secure the most favorable rates for all logistics requirements, including overseas partners and agents.
  • Strategic planning to reduce costs and increase profits.
  • Identifying areas for improvement, optimizing costs, and enhancing profitability.



Qualifications:


  • University degree or suitable equivalent
  • Minimum 7-10 years of work experience as a Freight Forwarder
  • MS Office programs
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Outstanding people skills
