Senior Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced person to join our team as a Sr. Consultant in the Renewable and New Energies domain. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and strategic insights to clients in the renewable and new energies space. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of new energy technologies, market trends, and policy frameworks to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive sustainable growth for the client.Locations - Gurugram and MumbaiResponsibilities:Strategic Planning and Advisory:Develop tailored strategies and roadmaps for clients to transition towards cleaner energy solutions, with a specific focus on C&I market, new energies such as green hydrogen/ green ammonia, energy storage, carbon market and electric vehicles market.Carry out feasibility assessments with regards to market entry in the new areas of C&I market, green hydrogen/ green ammonia, energy storage, carbon market as well as electric vehicle infrastructure.Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and stay updated on policy developments to provide clients with informed recommendations.Advise clients on regulatory requirements, incentive programs, and financing options available for the adoption of green hydrogen and electric vehicles.Bid and transaction advisoryAnalyze bid opportunities, including requests for proposals (RFPs), tenders, and competitive bidding processes.Develop competitive bidding strategies, considering market dynamics, client capabilities, and value proposition.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare bid proposals, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, commercial requirements, and contractual terms.Due Diligence and project valuation:Conduct detailed regulatory, commercial and financial due diligence of assets/ portfoliosDevelop robust financial models to evaluate renewable energy projects, including cash flow analysis, return on investment (ROI), net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR) calculations.Detailed assessments of power markets:Conduct comprehensive assessments of power markets, including supply and demand dynamics, regulatory frameworks, policy incentives, and market trends.Analyze historical and projected electricity market data, including generation capacity, transmission infrastructure, and electricity pricing, to identify market opportunities and risks.Conduct market studies to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector. Provide insights and recommendations to clients for market entry, expansion, and diversification.Policy and regulatory analysis: Stay up-to-date with local and international renewable energy policies, regulations, and incentives, and provide strategic advice to clients on navigating regulatory frameworks to optimize project development and investment opportunities.Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, industry associations, research institutions, and other key stakeholders to foster strategic partnerships and drive collaborative initiatives in the renewable energy space.Thought leadership: Stay abreast of industry advancements and technological innovations in the renewable energy domain. Contribute to the development of thought leadership content, whitepapers, and industry reports to showcase expertise and establish the organization as a leader in the field.Qualifications:MBA/ Master's degree in engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, or a related field.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in renewable energy consulting, project development, or a similar roleGood understanding of renewable energy technologies, such as solar PV, wind turbines, energy storage systems, and emerging technologiesStrong knowledge of renewable energy policies, regulations, and market dynamics at the local, regional, and international levels.Experience in working with multi/bi-lateral institutions in their clean energy initiativesGood understanding and working experience in carrying out assignments in the green hydrogen/ green ammonia, energy storage, carbon market as well as electric vehicle infrastructureProven track record in leading and delivering consulting projects on time and within budgetExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilitiesProficiency in financial modeling and project valuation techniquesExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders.Join our dynamic team and contribute to the global transition towards a sustainable future.
