Our team includes ML researchers and engineers from Apple, Amazon, and leading fintechs. With our core Business Information Report platform live and first clients onboarded, we're now expanding into a Sales Intelligence product. As a Software Engineer I – Backend, you'll partner closely with a Senior Engineer to build the services and pipelines that drive our next-generation offering.Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Service Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable APIs using FastAPI. Ensure clean, consistent code with SQLAlchemy models and migrationsDatabase Design & Optimization: Model relational schemas in PostgreSQL. Write and optimize complex queries and indexed viewsData Ingestion & Scraping: Build and maintain web-scraping pipelines to gather company and contact data. Handle anti-bot measures, pagination, and data normalizationAsynchronous Processing: Orchestrate background tasks and job queues with Celery. Monitor task health, retry logic, and throughput metricsTesting & Quality Assurance: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to uphold code quality. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineersDevOps & Automation: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker). Collaborate on infrastructure-as-code for reproducible environmentsCross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Data and Sales teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Partner with frontend and senior backend engineers to ship features end-to-endQualificationsBachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field1–3 years professional Python backend experience with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQLHands-on with task queues (Celery) and background job orchestrationExperience building robust web-scraping solutions and handling large-scale data ingestionFamiliarity with Docker, CI/CD tooling, and basic cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Strong software engineering fundamentals: REST principles, testing, security, and observabilityExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environmentWhat We OfferHigh Impact: Shape the core backend of our Sales Intelligence product alongside a Senior EngineerCompetitive Package: Market-aligned salary, health insurance, etc.Growth Path: Clear progression from Engineer I to Senior roles as our product and team scale
