Job Description: Banking & Finance Executive – Finance & Accounts (Manufacturing Industry)

Position Overview

The Banking & Finance Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day banking operations, coordinating with financial institutions, supporting treasury functions, ensuring smooth fund flow for manufacturing operations, and assisting the Finance & Accounts team in accounting, reconciliation, and compliance activities.


Key Responsibilities

1. Banking Operations

  • Handle daily banking transactions including NEFT/RTGS/IMPS payments, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements.
  • Prepare and submit bank documentation such as BGs (Bank Guarantees), FDs, LC (Letter of Credit), and bill discounting.
  • Maintain relationships with banks for operational requirements, loan processing, and rate negotiations.
  • Manage cash flow and fund allocations across different bank accounts.
  • Monitor bank balances daily and coordinate inter-bank transfers.

2. Treasury & Fund Management

  • Assist in short-term and long-term fund planning based on production schedules and procurement requirements.
  • Track utilization of working capital limits / cash credit (CC) / overdraft (OD).
  • Support foreign remittances and import/export payment documentation (if applicable).
  • Maintain records of loan interest, EMI schedules, and ensure timely payments.

3. Accounts & Reconciliation

  • Ensure proper accounting of all bank transactions in SAP.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to banking & payments.
  • Maintain vendor ledger reconciliation in coordination with purchase and stores departments.

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Prepare documentation required for banking audits, internal audits, and statutory audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, banking regulations, and financial controls.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of financial data and banking documents.

5. Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales teams to meet payment and collection requirements.
  • Follow up with customers for payment collections (if applicable).
  • Assist management with MIS reports on fund flow, banking status, and debt position.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of banking processes, LC/BG/OD/CC management.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles (AP/AR/GL).
  • Proficiency in ERP system - SAP
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with banks.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.


Qualification & Experience

  • Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter
  • Experience: 2–6 years in banking & finance operations, preferably in a manufacturing company.
  • Industry: Manufacturing / Engineering / Industrial / Automobile/ Avionics preferred.
