Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jira Admin SME to design, configure, manage, and support Atlassian tools, primarily Jira.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in customizing Jira workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports.

They will also provide technical assistance and training, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize Jira setups and workflows.

This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse Configuration and Management:

- Design, configure, manage, and support Jira and other Atlassian tools.

- Create and support custom Jira workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports.

- Develop complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.

- Coordinate with the primary Jira Administrator to plan, schedule, implement, and communicate Jira and plug-in upgrades.

Requirement Gathering and Optimization:

- Assist in gathering requirements for business processes and determine ways to optimize Jira setups and workflows.

- Identify where functionality can/cannot meet user requests and propose alternative solutions.

- Work with stakeholders to customize Jira workflows and ensure they align with business needs.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

- Support, compile, and troubleshoot issues related to Atlassian tools.

- Provide technical assistance in using Jira and other identified tools.

- Conduct quality checks and test user-requested data uploads into Jira.

Training and Documentation:

- Train staff on Jira and Confluence, including navigating projects and spaces.

- Create Jira training and support documentation.

- Provide Jira demonstrations to client project teams.

- Train Jira Project Team Support resources and provide ongoing support.

Design and Implementation:

- Utilize design skills to define Jira workflows and related screen schemes for complex and high-impact projects.

- Ensure Jira workflows and configurations are optimized for efficiency and user satisfaction.

- Continuously improve and refine Jira setups based on user feedback and best practices.

Upgrade and Maintenance:

- Upgrade Jira within the required environments, ensuring minimal disruption to users.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Jira and Atlassian tools, implementing new features and updates as Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Extensive experience in designing, configuring, managing, and supporting Jira and other Atlassian tools.

- Proven experience in creating complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.

- Strong understanding of custom Jira workflows, fields, dashboards, and reports.

- Experience in gathering requirements for business processes and optimizing Jira setups and workflows.

- Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Jira and other Atlassian tools.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders and provide training.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with other Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Bitbucket.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e. g. , Groovy, Python) for Jira automation.

- Familiarity with ITSM (IT Service Management) practices and tools.

- Certifications in Jira Administration or other Atlassian tools.
