Job Overview:

As a Kotlin Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using Kotlin programming language.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver scalable and maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities:

- Software Development : Design and implement high-quality software solutions using Kotlin programming language.

- Code Review : Review code written by other team members and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency.

- Feature Development : Develop new features and enhancements for existing applications, following best practices and coding standards.

- API Development : Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services using Kotlin frameworks such as Ktor or Spring Boot.

- Database Integration : Integrate applications with databases using Kotlin-based ORM frameworks like Exposed or Hibernate.

Unit Testing : Write unit tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of software components. Use testing frameworks such as JUnit or Spek.

- Bug Fixing : Investigate and fix bugs reported by QA or end-users.

- Perform root cause analysis to prevent similar issues in the future.

- Performance Optimization : Identify and address performance bottlenecks in software applications. Optimize code for speed, efficiency, and scalability.

- Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, API specifications, and user guides.

- Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs.

- Version Control : Use version control systems such as Git to manage code repositories and collaborate with other developers effectively.

- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) : Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes for software applications.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience : 4 to 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Kotlin programming.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Kotlin programming language, with strong object-oriented and functional programming skills.

- Experience with Kotlin frameworks and libraries such as Ktor, Spring Boot, Exposed, or Hibernate.

- Knowledge of software development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.

- Familiarity with modern software development tools and technologies, including IDEs, build tools, and version control systems.

- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

- Strong understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Spek.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
