Job Title: Assistant Manager – Legal
Experience: 9 - 12 years
Location: Trivandrum
We are looking for legal professional with IT industry experience, skilled in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating technology-related contracts various technology and commercial contracts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software licensing (SaaS model) and a deep understanding of legal and business nuances in technology transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including: SaaS Licensing Agreements, MSAs, Vendor/Procurement Agreements, Consulting Agreements, NDAs, and Partnership Agreements.
- Advise stakeholders on contractual obligations, rights, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, internal policies, and business requirements.
- Handle legal aspects of software licensing and intellectual property matters.
- Manage disputes related to IP rights and technology use.
- Review and negotiate contracts with international clients, ensuring global compliance.
- Maintain standard contract templates and support procurement and business teams.
- Collaborate with senior management to mitigate legal risks and support strategic initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Law (LL.B.); LL.M. preferred.
- 7–12 years of experience in IT industry legal roles, with software licensing expertise.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property, technology regulations, and data privacy.
- Experience with international contracts.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in corporate legal departments or reputed law firms supporting technology clients.
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools.
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional legal matters.
