Job Description : Senior Engineering Manager - DevOps

Position Overview :


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our DevOps team. The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of DevOps practices, tools, and processes to streamline software development, deployment, and operations.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, agile methodologies, and team leadership.

Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage the DevOps team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management of team members.

- Develop and implement DevOps strategies, processes, and best practices to support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation.

- Collaborate with software engineering teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment automation scripts.

- Design and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Drive improvements in system reliability, performance, and scalability through proactive monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning.

- Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance standards across development and production environments.

- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the DevOps toolchain and optimize development workflows.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on DevOps principles, practices, and tools.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, software engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure successful delivery of software products.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- X years of experience in software development, DevOps, or related roles, with a minimum of X years in a leadership or managerial position.

- Strong expertise in DevOps practices, principles, and methodologies, with hands-on experience in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automation tools.

- Proficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and modern software engineering practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Proven track record of driving process improvements, fostering collaboration, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.

- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is a plus.
