About the Role :

We are seeking a driven and skilled Data Scientist to join our team in Pune or Hyderabad and play a vital role in unlocking the power of our data using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and cloud technologies to extract valuable insights, build predictive models, and drive data-driven decision making across the organization.

Responsibilities :

Data Engineering and Preparation :

- Process, clean, and validate the integrity of data from various sources for analysis.

- Utilize web scraping tools and frameworks to acquire data if necessary.

- Understand the challenges of distributed data processing on the cloud.

Data Analysis and Modeling :

- Analyze large datasets using statistical methods and machine learning techniques to identify trends and patterns.

- Develop custom machine learning models and algorithms to solve business problems.

- Employ statistical analysis techniques like hypothesis testing for robust model development.

Business Integration and Communication:

- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify data-driven opportunities for product development, marketing, and business strategy optimization.

- Translate business needs into technical solutions and clearly communicate complex data insights to non-technical audiences.

- Propose data-driven solutions and strategies to address business challenges.

Cloud and Technology Skills :

- Utilize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, etc.) for data management, processing, and analysis.

- (GCP experience is a plus)

- Experience with handling big data technologies like Hadoop or Spark is a plus.

- Possess strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Work effectively with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, marketing) to implement data-driven solutions and monitor outcomes.

- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively and present findings to diverse audiences.

Preferred Skills :

- Expertise in data analysis techniques (hypothesis testing, statistical modeling)

- Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms (predictive modeling, deep learning, NLP, survival models, classification, clustering, segmentation)

- Experience with A/B testing methodologies

- Proficiency in cloud platforms (familiarity with GCP is a plus, experience with Azure or AWS is considered)
