Platform Engineer – Java/ BigData/ Kubernetes

Job Description

Syntasa is seeking a high-caliber and dedicated Platform Engineer to join its India subsidiary, Syntasa Technologies India Private Limited. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a world-class development and support center. The India operations will serve as an extension of Syntasa’s US-based software development and support functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize data processing and platform services using Java and Big Data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
  • Build and maintain scalable microservices and backend APIs supporting data-driven applications and integrations across systems.
  • Deploy, manage, and scale workloads using Kubernetes and containerized environments.
  • Work closely with platform, and DevOps teams to ensure reliability, automation, and performance.
  • Implement cloud-native and CI/CD best practices to streamline delivery and operations.
Skills & Experience

Must-Have:

  • Strong expertise in Java and SpringBoot for backend and data-intensive applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, etc.).
  • Practical knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and scaling.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Kafka or other real-time streaming systems.
  • Knowledge of RDBMS (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Platform Engineer.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, distributed engineering environment.
