Job Description :


We are seeking an experienced Information Security and Privacy Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, privacy practices, and compliance, particularly within SaaS-based or startup environments. You will play a critical role in ensuring the security and privacy of our systems, data, and processes, helping to build a secure foundation for our growing business.

Key Responsibilities :

- Information Security Management : Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive information security programs, including policies, procedures, and standards to protect company data and systems.

- Privacy Compliance : Ensure compliance with relevant privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and other global data protection laws. Implement privacy best practices to safeguard sensitive data.

- Risk Assessment : Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security threats. Develop and execute mitigation plans to address identified risks.

- Incident Response : Lead incident response efforts, including the identification, investigation, and resolution of security breaches or privacy violations. Implement post-incident improvements to prevent future occurrences.-

- Security Awareness Training : Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of security and privacy across the Data Encryption and Protection : Implement data encryption, tokenization, and other security measures to protect sensitive information. Ensure that data storage and processing comply with industry standards.

- Third-Party Risk Management : Assess and manage risks associated with third-party vendors, ensuring that they adhere to security and privacy requirements.

- Security Audits : Prepare and participate in internal and external security audits. Provide documentation and evidence to support compliance with security standards and regulations.

- Policy Development : Create and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

- Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in information security and privacy. Propose and implement continuous improvements to enhance the company's security posture.

Qualifications :

- 4-6 years of experience in information security, privacy, or related fields, preferably within SaaS-based or startup environments.

- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2, as well as privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA.

- Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, and endpoint protection.

- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, security audits, and incident response.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a remote environment.

- Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP, or similar, are highly desirable.
