The Organization is USA subsidiary of a private equity backed SaaS product company that is powering some of the world’s most important missions.

Role: The company is looking for a creative, compassionate Senior Fullstack Engineer with focus on backend services, REST APIs, GraphQ and Kubernetes. A qualified candidate will have working knowledge and experience with PHP MVC frameworks and be able to write PHP Unit tests. They should also have experience with continuous deployments using github actions and Kubernetes. Senior Engineers are leaders within the team, the organization and are polyglots.


An ideal candidate would have

  • exposure on PHP, Composer, PHP Unit, AngularJS, Javascript, NodeJS, MYSQL, NestJS, AWS to support the effort on the legacy product that is used by 500+ clients.
  • At the same time, the candidate should have handled the migration between platforms or should have strong openness to learn and manage to direct the team’s effort to the new platform that would be built on React, GraphQL and Node.
  • Their products are used by organizations all over the world and we are poised to keep growing our footprint.
  • You will be responsible for new feature design and implementation, project leadership, and mentoring roles.
  • You will also be making continuous improvements to the design and performance of an existing large and complex application.
  • You will be responsible to take the team along and hence it is very important to demonstrate emotional stability in a collaborative team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Join video conferencing calls with the product team in requirements gathering and feature enhancement discussions.

● Build, Maintain and enhance our SaaS product.

● Participate in sprint planning, ensuring effective decomposition of epics and user stories into estimated tasks and subtasks with clearly defined owners.

● Participate in agile stand ups and retrospectives. Proactively help and support colleagues remove impediments and continuously improve team productivity and satisfaction.

● Conduct code reviews and ensure a quality-centric team approach to development.

Skills:

MUST HAVES:

● Minimum 5 years of experience working on PHP MVC frameworks like Symfony or CakePHP

● You are excited to work on a modern full stack AngularJS, React JS, Javascript, NodeJS, mySQL and PHP application and 10+ years of total hands-on experience with a mix of mentoring and handling team operations.

● Expert knowledge of PHP and PHP Unit

● Openness to handle product migration on React - GraphQL - Node based platform.

● You can handle the entire software development life cycle, end to end.

● You have excellent communication skills. Excellent spoken and written English.

● Strong organizational skills and a details-oriented, meticulous work ethic.

● Ability to take the team along and get the work delivered within timelines.

● A good instinct for business and commercial value versus development effort.

● You can self manage your projects.

● You lead others, and others look to you for guidance.

● You have strong knowledge of databases (SQL and No-SQL based).

● You care deeply about software quality and testing.
