Job Title: Senior Design Manager – Commercial Office, Retail & Hotel Projects

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced building design architects for Senior Design Manager role with a strong background in Commercial Office, Retail & Hotel architecture and expertise in AutoCAD / Revit. As a Senior Design Manager, you will lead the design process for Commercial Office, Retail & Hotel Projects, work collaboratively with the team, while ensuring that design excellence, technical accuracy, and client expectations are met. Your role will be pivotal in driving the design strategy, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and production of high-quality, detailed architectural drawings and documentation. Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership:

o Lead the design process for Commercial Office, Retail & Hotel Projects, from initial concept through to detailed design and construction documentation.

o Develop creative, innovative, and functional design solutions that meet client requirements, project goals, and budget constraints for Commercial Office, Retail & Hotel sectors.

o Ensure designs are aligned with the vision of the client, while adhering to regulatory standards, local codes, and best practices.

• Project Coordination & Management:

o Oversee and coordinate the work of internal design teams, including architects, engineers, and other consultants, ensuring that all design elements are integrated seamlessly.

o Work on preparation of architectural drawings and documentation, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and in compliance with project standards.

o Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are progressing on time and within budget, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that arise during the design phase.

o Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging innovative ideas while maintaining design integrity and quality.

o Ensure the team adheres to project schedules and delivers high-quality design outputs.

• Technical Expertise & AutoCAD Mastery:

o Utilize AutoCAD to produce high-quality architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for Commercial Office, Retail & Hotel projects.

o Review and oversee the preparation of AutoCAD drawings, ensuring they are accurate, well-documented, and ready for construction.

o Address any technical challenges and provide design solutions during the production of drawings and during the construction phase.

• Quality Control & Design Review:

o Conduct design reviews to ensure that all design documents and drawings meet quality standards and client specifications.

o Review and approve drawings and specifications to ensure they comply with building codes, regulations, and project requirements.

o Oversee the implementation of design changes and ensure that updates to drawings are accurately incorporated.

• Construction Support:

o Provide ongoing support during the construction phase by clarifying design details, issuing design revisions, and ensuring that the construction team implements the design as intended.

o Address any design-related issues that arise during construction, coordinating with contractors to find solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture (BArch) or a related field.

• Experience: 8-12 years of professional experience in architecture, with a strong portfolio of Commercial Office, Retail & Hotel projects.

• Proven experience working on a range of Commercial Office, Retail & Hotel projects, such as, mixed-use developments, office buildings, and hospitality projects.

• Technical Skills:

o Expertise in AutoCAD for creating detailed architectural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and construction details.

o Proficiency in other design software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

o Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards for Commercial Office, Retail & Hotel Projects.

• Communication & Client Management:

o Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex design concepts to clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

o Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and manage client expectations.

• Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking:

o Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide creative design solutions while managing technical constraints.

o Ability to address issues that arise during design development and construction, ensuring smooth project execution.
