Job Title : BAU Helix (BHOM)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented BAU support engineer with strong hands-on experience in BMC Helix Operations Management (BHOM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily operations, administration, monitoring configurations, and incident resolution, ensuring the BHOM environment is always available, optimized, and aligned to business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- BHOM Administration:
Perform day-to-day administration of the BMC Helix Operations Management platform including user management, tenant configuration, policy setup, and role-based access.
- Monitoring Setup & Maintenance:
Configure and maintain monitoring policies, thresholds, event rules, and integrations with other Helix modules (like ITSM, DWP, or CMDB).
- BAU Support Activities:
Provide L2/L3 support for incident resolution, handle alerts and system performance issues, and execute standard changes as part of operations.
- Automation & Scripting:
Leverage automation tools or scripts to streamline monitoring and administrative tasks.
- Patch Management & Upgrades:
Coordinate with BMC support or internal teams to manage system upgrades, patch deployments, and maintain overall platform health.
- Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed technical and operational documentation, change records, and incident logs. Generate periodic health reports.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
Work closely with infrastructure, application, and BMC support teams to ensure aligned operations and timely issue resolution.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with BMC BHOM (on-premise or SaaS) including configurations, policies, and integration points.
- Good understanding of BMC Helix platform architecture, cloud-native principles, and container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes is a plus).
- Expertise in monitoring and alerting concepts, KPI/SLA configurations, and event management.
- Experience in troubleshooting issues, log analysis, and RCA preparation.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, scripting (Shell/Python), and automation tools.
- Working knowledge of other BMC modules like CMDB, ITSM, or Discovery is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- ITIL certification preferred.
Certifications (Preferred):
- BMC Certified Associate/Administrator – Helix Operations Management
- ITIL Foundation
