We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Accountant with strong experience in Canadian taxation. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with CRA regulations, and supporting clients or internal teams with tax planning, audits, and financial reporting.


Key Responsibilities


Tax Preparation & Filing

  • Prepare and file corporate (T2), personal (T1), and trust (T3) tax returns.
  • Prepare GST/HST, PST, payroll remittances, and annual information returns (T4, T5).
  • Perform year-end tax adjustments and reconciliations.

Tax Analysis & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations and deadlines.
  • Research and interpret Canadian Income Tax Act guidelines for accurate tax treatment.
  • Respond to CRA queries, notices, and support during tax audits.

Planning & Advisory

  • Provide strategic tax planning to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Advise on tax impacts related to business changes, transactions, or investments.
  • Support clients or internal teams with budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain organized tax records and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare working papers and schedules for review by senior accountants or partners.
  • Collaborate with finance teams during monthly and annual closing activities.
