Procurement Specialist – Oracle Fusion

Role Purpose:

This role involves supporting Business Users with Application Issues, Period Close Process, and delivering application enhancements (CEMLI) around the Purchasing and Payables Module. It serves as a full-time business analyst for the implementation and support of Fusion ERP applications, assisting Project and Operations managers in new projects, support work, and coordinating with vendor teams.

The role provides effective support to ERP users in terms of clarifications, scoping for new requirements, application support during activities like period closing, system testing during patching/upgrades, user training, evaluation of new technologies/functionalities, and more.


Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Fusion Implementation and Support experience around ERP Cloud module of Finance and Procurement
  • Requirement Analysis, Solution Design, System Testing, and Deployment
  • Developing functional and technical specifications based on business requirements
  • Supporting Business Users with clarifications, scoping of new requirements, period close activities, Upgrade/Patch Analysis and Testing, and User training
  • Preparing Application Documentation such as BRD, Functional Design, Setup Document, Deployment Documents, Test Scripts, and Training Manuals
  • Analyzing and solving complex customer issues related to data and processes

Definition of Success:

  • Successful delivery of Projects, Enhancements, and Support work as per agreed SLAs
  • Adherence to SLA for Support Incidents
  • Ensuring Quality in all deliverables
  • Demonstrating Strong Analytical and Debugging Skills in dealing with Application support Issues

Functional/Technical Competencies:

Develop functional and technical specifications based on business requirements and analysis and design of technical solutions to business problems. Participate in reviews for requirements, architectures, designs, code, and test plans. Integrate, test, and implement new Oracle Fusion application modules, upgrades, and features. Provide management with ongoing recommendations for advancements in Oracle ERP technology and applications. Support business users in terms of clarification, training, and changes. Act as a single point of contact for support calls or enhancement/upgrade/rollout requirements. Review, evaluate, analyze, and participate in planning for such projects. Ensure quality assurance of delivery and production movement for configuration. Facilitate knowledge sharing among the team. Responsible for the maintenance of all documents related to functional work.

Documentation:

Maintain documentation templates as per AIM standards.

Technical:

Be a fast learner and explore new modules and technologies related to the domain. Conduct POCs as needed.

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Key personal characteristics include proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment, open-mindedness, honesty, excellent communication skills, a great attitude, and a sense of accountability. Must have proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment. Should be adept at communicating with both technical and non-technical individuals. Ability to recognize and solve problems using a systematic approach, understanding life-cycle approaches, balancing short- and long-term goals, and identifying issues within a group.

Qualifications:

Degree in finance domain, professional background in finance, at least 4-6 years of experience on Oracle Applications with domain experience, at least 1 end-to-end implementation project experience, high proficiency in Oracle Fusion application modules like GL, AP, AR, FA, PO, INV, Projects, Property management, Hyperion HFM, FDMEE, and HWP, good knowledge of Database, SDLC, Project Management, Internet technologies, Quality Management, Change Management, and office software.
